1. Creating a collection

Managers and Admins can create collections anywhere on Hives.co using the + button in the header.

2. Choose a template

To begin, choose a template for your collection. The displayed workflows are Hive-specific. Clicking a workflow allows you to preview its steps. For creating or modifying workflows, use the admin portal under "Collection Workflows," accessible with Admin privileges.

Click the preferred workflow and hit "Next".

3. Write a title, description, and choose an image

So, start by crafting a meaningful question as the title for your new collection, such as "How can we enhance our recruitment process to attract more candidates?"

To improve idea generation, provide background context in the description.

While a random image is initially provided, you can personalize it by uploading your own image or selecting one from our royalty-free Unsplash image bank. You also have the option to upload a video as a cover for your collection.

Once you've chosen your preferred image or video, simply hit "Save" to finalize. Rest assured, your collection remains private until you decide to share it.

4. Edit & manage your collection

After creating your collection, you are automatically designated as the manager, and it remains visible only to you initially.

Within the collection, various settings are available. To add additional managers, click the user avatars in the bar and select more managers in the edit tab.

Clicking the three dots on the right provides access to additional settings, allowing you to edit the collection, add attachments, and more.

Further details on sharing/inviting people to your collections will be provided in the next step.

5. Share/invite people to your collection

To grant access to your collection and receive contributions, use the "Share/Invite" option. Toggling on "Activate link" provides a shareable link, allowing anyone to view and join the collection as a "Guest." Deactivating the link restricts access, and reactivating it generates a new link.

Alternatively, you can invite participants via email. Participants invited this way also become "Guests" with access limited to the specific collection unless invited to other collections or the Hive's homepage.

That's all, happy hunting! πŸŽ‰
