In Hives, there are various roles and permissions to ensure that individuals have the appropriate access for their responsibilities.

Global Roles:

There are four global roles in Hives:

Admin:

Users with admin roles have the same access as a manager but also have access to the admin portal. In the admin portal, you can manage user roles, workflows, and Hive access. Admins also have permission to delete comments, edit/delete all contributions, view/edit fields on a contribution, and access the manager menu in collections. Additionally, admins can edit the Home page and create/edit/delete boards on the Home page.

Manager:

Managers can participate in other collections and initiate their own collections. They have the authority to create an unlimited number of collections and manage those where they are designated as a collection manager.

Member:

Members are regular users in your Hive with access to the Homepage. They can contribute to collections they have access to, as well as like and comment on others' submissions.

Guest:

Guests are individuals invited to a specific collection but lack access to the Home page and other areas in your Hive.

Collection-Specific Roles:

In addition to global roles, specific permissions exist within each collection:

Permissions for the collection:

Managers in the collection:

If a person is designated as a manager in a collection, they will have access to the manager menu in that collection. They can also access the steps in each contribution, edit/delete contributions, and delete comments.

All others with access:

Users who are not managers in a collection but have access can view others' contributions (unless set to hidden in the workflow). They can add their own contributions, like and comment on others' contributions, and score them if scoring is open to everyone.
